The aim of the visioning process of the Greater Amberjack Research Program is to develop a set of research recommendations to be considered for the implementation phase of the program. The visioning process entails:

  • Reviewing existing information from stock assessments, management reports and the scientific literature.
  • Conducting a situation analysis based on stakeholder input.
  • Identifying a draft set of research recommendations.
  • Obtaining stakeholder feedback on the draft research recommendations through regional listening sessions.
  • Obtaining technical feedback on the draft research recommendations from a panel of independent experts.

Find out more on Florida Sea Grant's visioning component website, including information about virtual listening sessions scheduled for early December. The sessions will focus on draft research priorities.
