Jillian "Jill" Sower, Ph.D.
Science Policy Fellow
Jill Sower is a science policy fellow with the Mississippi-Based RESTORE Act Center of Excellence (MBRACE), and she works with the Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant Consortium and MBRACE. She supports a range of projects aimed at understanding how science informs policy development and implementation in the Gulf region.
She holds a bachelor's degree in wildlife conservation from Virginia Tech, a master's degree in coastal science from The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast Research Laboratory and a Ph.D. in earth system science from Auburn University.
Jill also helps coordinate the Alabama-Mississippi Oyster Community of Practice.
