Summary

Based off the popular webinar series, this course covers a variety of tools used in severe weather preparation and response. Doppler radar, radiosondes, and weather satellites will be discussed along with how you can get involved with helping protect your community through SKYWARN storm spotters. Tornado Tales, a citizen science tool used to help understand behaviors before, during, and after a severe weather event, will also be covered. Learn how data is collected, processed and used in real-world applications for hazardous events.

This course is offered virtually via Zoom and in person at the Gulf Coast Research Lab, 703 East Beach Drive, Ocean Springs, MS.
