The Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant Consortium (MASGC) is accepting pre-proposals for its 2024-2025 Research Program. Projects selected for funding will address innovative research on coastal issues in Alabama and Mississippi in one or more of these three focus areas: healthy coastal ecosystems; sustainable fisheries and aquaculture; resilient communities and economies; and environmental literacy and workforce development.

Funding requests for individual projects shall not exceed $100,000 per year of federal support. A 50-percent non-federal match of the federal funds is required. One-year projects and projects requesting lower annual amounts of funding will also be considered.

More details, including a link to the full request for pre-proposals, can be found on MASGC’s funding webpage at https://masgc.org/funding.

Pre-proposals are due at 5 p.m. on  Feb. 17, 2023, and should be submitted using MASGC's online eSeaGrant system.
