Bowling will assist governmental agencies in interpretation of statutes, regulations and case law. She also will supervise law student research associates and serve as editor of The SandBar, a quarterly legal newsletter.
Bowling received her bachelor’s degree in journalism and Spanish from the University of Mississippi. As a journalism student, she wrote for various student publications, including The Daily Mississippian. After graduation, she served as assistant editor of American City and County magazine. At American City and County, she wrote and edited articles on the operation of various aspects of local government, such as parks and recreation programs, street and highway maintenance and financial management.
She received her law degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law. While in law school, she worked for the National Sea Grant Law Center and participated in the law school’s legal clinic. At the Sea Grant Law Center, she also will assist with The Sea Grant Law and Policy Digest, as well as provide research for Sea Grant constituents and other agencies.
Bowling lives in Oxford with her husband, John, and their 18-month-old son, Adam.
