We are accepting applications for three fellowships to help graduate students enhance their education and grow their careers, and application deadlines are fast approaching.

NOAA Sea Grant John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship 2022 – This paid fellowship is open to students working toward a degree in a graduate program at any point between the onset of the 2020 Fall Term (quarter, trimester, semester, etc.) and Feb. 19, 2021. Applicants must have an interest in ocean and coastal resources and national policy decisions that affect them. Fellows work in legislative or executive offices in Washington, D.C., for one year.

NOAA Fisheries/Sea Grant Fellowship, Marine Resource Economics, 2021 – This paid fellowship is for U.S. citizens who are Ph.D. students interested in careers related to the development and implementation of quantitative methods for assessing the economics of the conservation and management of living marine resources.
Fellows will work on thesis problems of public interest and relevance to the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) under the guidance of NMFS mentors at participating NMFS Science Centers or Offices.
This fellowship can provide support for up to three years.
Application deadline: Jan. 26, 2021.
NOAA Fisheries/Sea Grant Fellowship, Population and Ecosystem Dynamics, 2021 – This paid fellowship is for Ph.D. students interested in careers related to marine ecosystem and population dynamics, with a focus on modeling and managing systems of living marine resources.
The emphasis will be on the development and implementation of quantitative methods for assessing marine ecosystems, for assessing the status of fish, invertebrate and other targeted species stocks and for assessing the status of marine mammals, seabirds and other protected species.
Fellows will work on thesis problems of public interest and relevance to National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) under the guidance of NMFS mentors at participating NMFS Science Centers or Offices.
Application deadline: Jan. 26, 2021.
