Our Team

Rusty joined Sea Grant in 2016. He helps oyster farmers navigate requirements for starting farms, and he helps streamline the harvest reporting process for existing farms. His focus is on making farmers be more successful as businesses. He also conducts an annual survey of existing farmers to study the economic impact of the industry.

Rusty has a Master of Natural Resources, a bachelor's degree in psychology and a bachelor's degree in operations management, all from Auburn University. He has worked with large corporations and small businesses in program management and business development.
