Steve Crockett’s oysters are some of the tastiest in the United States.
Point aux Pins Oysters (Bayou La Batre, Alabama), some of the first farm-raised oysters from the Alabama Gulf, have been listed on Thrillist.com as one of the 15 most delicious oysters any American could hope to eat. Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant has funded several projects at the oyster farm, owned by Steve Crockett, including gear studies and marketability research. These delicious oysters can be found at the Hot and Hot Fish Club in Birmingham and at The Reef in Houston. On the Alabama coast, you can order them at the Saltwater Grill at the Grand Hotel in Pointe Clear and at Fisher’s at Orange Beach Marina.
