Climate and Resilience CoP Meeting 2017

The 2017 Climate and Resilience Community of Practice meeting will be held on May 16-18, 2017, in Covington, Louisiana.

Registration

You can register online for the annual meeting. The registration fee is $100. Local government officials do not have to pay the registration fee. Email Melissa Daigle for more information. 

 

Lodging

A limited number of discounted rooms is available at the Holiday Inn Covington, 45 Louis Prima Drive, for $99/night.

Call for Abstracts

The Gulf of Mexico Climate and Resilience Outreach Community of Practice is requesting abstract submissions for the 2017 meeting. Abstracts are requested from both undergraduate and graduate students, as well as professionals. Please see criteria and format guidelines. Abstracts are due by email to lcarnahan@ufl.edu by Friday, April 14, at 11:59 p.m. You will be notified of acceptance by Friday, April 28.

 

NEW for 2017: Small Grant Award for Climate Adaptation
The Climate and Resilience CoP would like to recognize and support the commitment of Gulf Coast communities to climate adaptation. To that end, the CoP is offering a small grant award in 2017! Gulf Coast communities are encouraged to apply for funds to support a project that addresses a climate adaptation need or challenge in the community and can serve as a demonstration project for other coastal communities in the region. Details about the application process can be found hereA letter of intent is due January 25, 2017. One project will be awarded. Many thanks to NOAA's Office for Coastal Management for providing the funding for this award.
